BOSTON DINING ARM CHAIR
Hickory Chair Upholstery Collection
HC4652-01
W 24.5in D 26.75in H 39.25in
Inspired by a Massachusetts upholstered low-arm chair, circa 1780–1800, this design is attributed to John Seymour, the renowned Boston craftsman often hailed as the Rembrandt of Federal furniture in America.
The front legs are crafted from solid mahogany, featuring a refined white string inlay that adds a distinctive ornamental touch. This inlay remains visible when finished in stain, yet disappears under paint. The front rail showcases an elegant serpentine profile, while the gracefully carved arms further reflect Seymour's masterful aesthetic. A companion side chair is available.
